The Next 6 week series starts 3/24
The Hinge Café is pleased to announce the next 6-week session of its nonprofit arts program starting March 24. This round features 6 different programs for children
age 6-13, weekend family style class, and two classes just for the adults.
AFTERSCHOOL Programs (for ages 6-13)
Mondays 3-6pm: Baking Bonanza ($100 for 6 weeks)
Sweet thing! We're making cupcakes, creams and chocolate dreams..pretty please with sugar on top!
Tuesdays 3-6pm: Creative Cooking ($100 for 6 weeks)
Buon appetite! By popular demand, we're going Italian this session with our version of pizza, lasagna, and gnocchi.
Wednesdays 3-6pm: Mad About Music ($100 for 6 weeks)
Move over Hannah Montana! Learn to sing with practicing with your favorite tunes on our Karaoke machine.
Thursdays 3-6pm: Tin Can Art: Critters & Cars ($100 for 6 weeks)
Cut, bend, and rivet your way to unique sculptures made from colorful tin cans.
Fridays 3-6pm: U-Build It! ($100 for 6 weeks)
Pull out the jigsaw and screw gun! Design, construct and decorate a functional wall piece for your room
WEEKEND CLASSES
Saturdays 1-3pm (Ages 6-13): Junior Photography: Little Urban Visions ($75 for 6 weeks)
Explore interesting and unique views of your neighborhood through a photographic lens
Saturdays time to be announced (Family Style ages 4-adult): Creative Cooking ($20 per class)
Cooking up good family fun…and you get to eat everything you make. Bring your parent, sister, cousin or friend!
ADULT EVENING SERIES
Mondays 7-9pm: Creative Cooking ($150 for 6 weeks includes all food)
What's on the menu? Southwestern cobb salad with chili rubbed steak, Tamarind-glazed salmon with citrus salad, Chinese five spice lacquered chicken. Learn to cook tasty meals designed for your kitchen.
Wednesdays 7-9:30pm: Beginner Metalsmithing ($150 for 6 weeks includes all materials)
Form your ideas in metal! Learn basic metalsmithing techniques including cutting, forming, riveting, soldering, patinas, and much more. Classes will consist of demonstrations, hands on instruction, and work time for your personal project.
